General Sports Turf Maintenance Courses

The Pitchcare General Sports Turf Maintenance (GSTM) Courses have been particularly designed for the volunteer or part-time groundsman who has little or no professional training, typically a person looking after their local town or village sports pitch. They aim to provide comprehensive basic knowledge to enable him or her to maintain the pitch throughout a 12 month period.

The courses are also be useful for a young person interested in developing a career as a groundsman or greenkeeper as they provide an overview of the equipment and machinery involved.

The course manual, a copy of which is given to each delegate, includes working diaries showing the range of tasks needed to be accomplished each month. Delegates each receive a Lantra Awards certificate of attendance.
